In the mid-1990s, Professor Derek Bindner was taught the old-school way: use brute force, explosive athleticism, overpower opponents, and treat injuries as a badge of honor.
After two decades of hard training, he found himself riddled with injuries, and facing a crossroads: quit or revolutionize the way he trained. Witnessing many practitioners burn out within 2-3 years, Bindner chose to forge a new path – one that prioritized longevity, efficiency, and joy.

His journey to healing took him through surgeries, chiropractors, massage therapists, physiotherapists, structural integration specialists, and osteopaths. He realized the traditional way of training was broken for everyday longevity.
