At Bindner Academy, our Fusion Jiu-jitsu program is designed for real people facing real-world situations.

Whether you’re completely new to martial arts or have years of experience, FJJ helps adults build practical self-defense skills, functional fitness, confidence under pressure, and the mindset to protect themselves and the people they care about.

You do not need to be athletic, young, or experienced to start.

Our classes are structured to challenge and support all fitness levels in a safe, positive,  and fun environment where members grow stronger physically and mentally — while becoming part of a community that pushes each other to improve.

What Is Fusion

Fusion Jiu-jitsu (FJJ) is a modern self-protection and defense system designed to help everyday men and women, become harder to intimidate, more confident under pressure, and physically capable of protecting themselves and the people they love.

But Fusion is more than martial arts.

By combining the most effective elements of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Aikido, and Krav Maga, with Warrior psychology, Fusion training focuses on practical self-defense, real-world fitness, and mental resilience — not flashy techniques or sport-only training.

FJJ combines the most effective elements of multiple martial arts systems and warrior psychology into one complete approach to self-protection:

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU (BJJ)

Learn how to stay calm, control larger opponents, and defend yourself in close-range situations.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on leverage, positioning, escapes, submissions, and ground control — allowing a smaller person to effectively defend against someone bigger and stronger using technique instead of brute force.

BJJ builds:

MUAY THAI KICKBOXING

Known as “The Art of Eight Limbs,” Muay Thai develops powerful and effective striking using punches, elbows, knees, and kicks.

Muay Thai training improves:

  • cardio and conditioning

  • balance and coordination

  • striking power

  • speed and endurance

  • confidence in stand-up self-defense situations

It’s one of the most effective systems in the world for practical striking and total-body fitness.

KRAV MAGA

Built for real-world self-defense, Krav Maga teaches instinctive movements and practical responses to dangerous situations.

Krav Maga concepts help students:

  • react under pressure

  • create space and escape danger

  • defend against aggressive attacks

  • improve awareness and decision-making

Training is fast-paced, empowering, and designed for everyday people — not professional fighters.

AIKIDO

Aikido teaches control, awareness, timing, and the ability to redirect force instead of meeting aggression head-on.

Through movement, breath control, and body positioning, students develop:

  • calmness under stress

  • improved balance and coordination

  • situational awareness

  • the ability to stay composed during conflict

Aikido adds an important mental and strategic element to the FJJ system.
