Adult Class Descriptions:

SELF-DEFENSE ART

A comprehensive self-protection Brazilian Jiu-jitsu based class that teaches awareness, threat assessment, critical thinking, tactical communications, breathwork, functional movement, strategic maneuvering, positioning, escapes, striking, throwing, controls, take-downs, pins, sweeps, restraints, chokes, joint locks and escorting techniques, from both standing, and on the ground. Practice is done with single and multiple opponents in all ranges of combat, while taking common weapons into consideration.

RECREATIONAL SPORT

Known as "the game of human chess", Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) training is a combat grappling sport played mostly on the ground, and utilizes positions, transitions, and submissions with takedowns, throws, chokes, and joint locks. Weekly classes will help improve physical toughness and strategic thinking skills, while offering an intensive fitness workout with some self-defense applications.

OVER 35

This Brazilian Jiu-jitsu class is specifically designed for those individuals who are 35 years of age and older who are interested in learning how to stay on the mats longer in life, by increasing their mobility, flexibility, durability, endurance and technical prowess, with fitness and fun.

FUSION COMBATIVES

A reality-based class that focuses on standing controls, takedowns and ground grappling with striking, multiple opponents, and tactical communications.

 

MECHANICS LAB

A deep dive class that focuses on the understanding of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu principles such as base, connection, angles, weight distribution, timing and distance management, as they relate to grappling movement and the application of techniques.

FOUNDATIONS LAB

A class that focuses on the basic fundamental movements and techniques of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Close the gaps, and improve your game dramatically, by discovering the power of the basics.

​

SPARRING LAB

A freestyle grappling/sparring class that allows students to test their knowledge, skills and abilities against a resisting opponent.

Day and evening, group and private lessons are available.
