WHAT IS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a combat grappling sport that is played mostly on the ground, and is based on the practical application of technique and leverage to overcome an opponent. It does not rely on strength, size, or speed, but rather on the intelligent use of strategy and technique to overcome such physical attributes. What is required is stamina, technique and spirit. Weekly classes will help improve physical toughness and strategic thinking skills, while offering an intensive workout regime with some self-defense applications. By combining cardiovascular training with natural bodyweight resistance training, adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu students push their bodies hard and learn what they are capable of.

Classes run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8-9pm, and on Saturday mornings at 10-11am, for drills and skills practice.
